The Absinthe Forum has just embarked upon its 4th incarnation as an IPS Board. The Chronology is as follows:

9/97 - 8/98 The Absinthe Book: started life as a Dreambook Guestbook
8/98 - 1/2000 The Absinthe Forum: moved to BeFree bulletin board - no archives :(
1/2000 - 9/2003 The Absinthe Forum: Discus Forum Software (this is the layout seen here)
9/23/2003 The Absinthe Forum: Invision Power Board

(done originally for Greenimp when he waxed rhapsodically about the old site)!

Notes: Due to server crashes and software foibles the early archives are not searchable, some are out of order, and a great many threads and files are missing altogether. However, I tried to make some sense of them and they make great reading on a stormy winter's night.
